In this project, the DNA fingerprinting and assessment of genetic diversity of Istrian olive germplasm were performed.
All available morphological data implemented with recent molecular profiles were assembled in the wholesome database of autochthonous olive varieties in Istria.
The analysis clarified the genetic relationships of the varieties characteristic of the region of Croatian Istria with varieties in the neighbouring Slovene Istria region.
